The India International Soft Tennis Championship has brought together top athletes from across South Asia, with Piyush Singh Chauhan, Vice President of the Amateur Soft Tennis Association of Uttar Pradesh (ASTAUP), playing a pivotal role in its organization. The event, held at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida, attracted around 150 players from 12 nations, including Japan, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. Despite visa issues affecting participation from Pakistan and Bangladesh, the tournament remains a significant platform for international exposure and skill development. Chauhan's leadership has been instrumental in elevating the status of soft tennis in the region.
