L&T has secured its third straight order on Mumbai Metro’s Line 4&4A corridor, this time for electrification and related systems on the 24.72 km Line 4A with 22 elevated stations and 2 depots. The EPC scope includes power supply, traction, SCADA, E&M works, lifts, escalators, and five-year comprehensive maintenance.
L&T announced that its Transportation Infrastructure business vertical has received a significant order from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for Package CA-298 of the Mumbai metro railway project. The package relates to electrification of the 24.72 km Line 4A between Bhakti Park and Cadbury Junction, comprising 22 elevated stations.
The scope covers design, manufacture, supply, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of power supply and traction systems for the Line 4&4A route, along with SCADA for the complete Metro line at 4A and 4 for 32 stations, depots, and receiving substation. All engineering and execution will be led by L&T’s in‑house teams.
