In a landmark development for India’s infrastructure ambitions, Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has clinched a massive contract valued between ₹25 billion and ₹50 billion for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. The deal, awarded by the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), marks a significant milestone in the country’s first high-speed rail corridor and signals a major acceleration in construction activity across Maharashtra.

 

The contract, known as Package T-1, covers a 157 km stretch from Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex to Zaroli village near the Maharashtra-Gujarat border.
