PTC Industries, through its subsidiary Aerolloy Technologies, has just signed an important agreement with Safran Aircraft Engines—a big name in the aerospace world. This move is all about strengthening India’s ability to make high-tech parts for both military and commercial aircraft, right here at home.
Here’s what’s happening:
The partnership directly supports the ‘Make in India’ initiative, which encourages companies to manufacture more components locally instead of relying on imports. For India’s defence and aerospace sectors, this is a big deal.
PTC and Safran have already been working together on parts for commercial LEAP engines, which power many of the world’s most popular aircraft. Now, they’re expanding that relationship to include military engine components as well.
Aerolloy Technologies recently landed a long-term order from Safran to supply seven different titanium and superalloy cast parts for CFM’s LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines. This makes ATL the only Indian company supplying these kinds of critical components to a global engine manufacturer.
The new agreement is expected to help build a stronger, more self-sufficient supply chain for India’s aerospace industry. With over 2,000 LEAP engines on order for Indian airlines, the timing couldn’t be better.
PTC’s leadership says this partnership is a sign that Indian companies can deliver top-quality, complex aerospace parts. Safran agrees, and sees India as a key part of their worldwide supply network.
With new investments and a focus on advanced materials, PTC and Aerolloy Technologies are aiming to put India on the map as a major player in global aerospace and defence manufacturing.
