Ottawa will be surrounded by a red and white sea when the nation's capital city celebrates Canada Day 2025 events, promising a day of music, cultural pride, and memories to last a lifetime. As Canada turns 158 years young, the city is going big for a "loud and proud" birthday bash, with events being held at LeBreton Flats Park and Parliament Hill.

Key Highlights:

LeBreton Flats Park is the Main Stage: Admission is free and the park will be filled with live music, gourmet concessions, and family-friendly activities, including interactive games and cultural crafts like Medicine Wheel bracelet making.

Star-Studded Lineup: The evening show (8–10 p.m.) includes Canadian legends like Sarah McLachlan, Tom Cochrane, Blue Rodeo, Amanda Marshall, Randy Bachman, Cœur de pirate, and others and is hosted by Isabelle Racicot. The national noon broadcast begins with Amanda Marshall, Garou, Alli Walker, Rafaëlle Roy, and Thompson Egbo-Egbo performing, hosted by Sonia Benezra.

Finale de feu d'artifice: Les feux d'artifice de Tim Hortons Canada Day illumineront le ciel au-dessus d'Ottawa-Gatineau entre 10 et 10:15 p.m., à la meilleure place.

Family Fun on Parliament Hill: Look for giant inflatable beavers, the daily Changing of the Guard at 10 a.m., and performances by the Royal Canadian Air Force Pipes and Drums.

Free Travel: OC Transpo is offering free travel on buses, O-Train, and Para Transpo throughout the day, so it will be convenient to come out and join the celebration. Pimisi Station will be open to ensure easy access to LeBreton Flats.

Road Closures: Be prepared for ByWard Market, LeBreton Flats, and Parliament Hill road closures. Plan ahead and use public transit for a hassle-free journey. CBC's All-Day Coverage: Can't be there in person? CBC will broadcast live at 6 a.m. ET, with special coverage and the evening concert on TV, radio and the internet.

Canada Day this year arrives amidst widespread nationalism and a robust tourism season. Activities were well planned to mark Canadian unity, diversity, and culture in a way never seen before.
