Maruti Grand Vitara Achieves 3 Lakh Sales in Record 32 Months, Sets New Benchmark in SUV Segment

Maruti Suzuki India has announced a major milestone for its flagship SUV, the Grand Vitara, which has surpassed 3 lakh unit sales in just 32 months since its launch—making it the fastest-selling midsize SUV in its segment and further solidifying Maruti’s leadership in the competitive SUV market.

Key Highlights:

The Grand Vitara crossed the 300,000 sales mark in just 32 months, outpacing all rivals in the midsize SUV category and becoming a standout performer for Maruti Suzuki.
A significant driver of this success is the Strong Hybrid variant, which posted an impressive 43% year-on-year sales growth in FY24-25, reflecting increasing consumer preference for fuel-efficient and sustainable mobility solutions.
The SUV’s appeal is further enhanced by advanced features such as Suzuki’s ALLGRIP SELECT 4x4 system, a 6-speed automatic transmission, panoramic sunroof, and a suite of tech-driven and safety enhancements, including 6 airbags and ESP with Hill Hold Assist as standard across all variants.

To commemorate the milestone, Maruti Suzuki launched a new campaign, ‘Driven by Tech’, showcasing the Grand Vitara’s versatility for tech-savvy urbanites and adventure-seekers alike.

Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, credited customers for their trust, emphasizing that the Grand Vitara has been pivotal in strengthening Maruti Suzuki’s position in the mid-SUV market.

The 2025 Grand Vitara now offers even more variant options, with premium features like a panoramic sunroof extended to additional trims.

Safety remains a top priority, with standard features including 3-point ELR seat belts for all passengers, ISOFIX mounts, and ABS with EBD.
