Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. has unveiled an ambitious solar energy expansion plan, targeting 319MWp capacity by FY2030-31, backed by a ₹9.25 billion investment. This initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to sustainability, reinforcing its efforts to integrate renewable energy solutions across its manufacturing operations.
As part of this strategy, Maruti Suzuki is expanding its solar infrastructure by 30MWp, with new projects at Kharkhoda and Manesar. These facilities will enhance energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and support the company’s goal of achieving net-zero operations.
The automaker has been steadily increasing its renewable energy footprint, with prior investments in biogas and solar power. The latest expansion underscores its long-term vision of reducing dependence on conventional energy sources while strengthening its green manufacturing capabilities.
