The MG Windsor EV is making waves in India's smaller cities, with its innovative Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model driving unprecedented demand. The electric SUV has already crossed 10,000 sales in just three months, with an additional 18,000 orders in backlog. The BaaS scheme, which allows customers to pay for battery usage separately at ₹3.9/km, has reduced the entry price to ₹9.99 lakh, making EVs accessible to a broader market. MG plans to expand from 420 to 520 outlets across 270 cities by March 2025, focusing on Tier 3 and 4 cities to capitalize on growing EV interest in these regions.
