While the Indian stock market goes through a consolidation phase, investors are deciding between midcaps and largecaps. Sudip Bandyopadhyay of Inditrade Capital says that while largecaps provide stability, midcaps offer scope for higher growth. Largecaps have historically led the market recoveries, but midcaps too have exhibited great potential, particularly post-corrections.
In 2025, realty, pharma, and bank sectors are in focus, and largecaps are likely to outperform as they are currently undervalued in relation to the market. But midcaps, including Solar Industries and Persistent Systems, will shift towards largecaps, promising returns. Long-term benefits are advised by Anirudh Garg by accumulating good quality mid and small-cap stocks with healthy balance sheets.
