Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold a grand roadshow in Ahmedabad today, May 26, drawing over 50,000 participants and marking the start of his two-day Gujarat visit. The event will celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor and the launch of development projects worth over ₹82,950 crore. With the roadshow scheduled from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport to Indira Bridge at 6:30 pm, city authorities have issued a comprehensive traffic advisory to ensure public safety and smooth movement.
Road Closures & Timings:
Major traffic restrictions will be in effect from 4 pm to 9 pm today. The stretch from Duffnala to Airport Circle to Indira Bridge, as well as the route from Airport to Apollo Circle, will be completely closed for all vehicles. The route from Dafnala Crossroads to Airport Circle to Indira Bridge Circle to Bhadreshwar Y Junction will also be off-limits.
Alternate Routes for Commuters:

Indira Bridge to Gandhinagar: Use Nobel Nagar T-junction → Nana Chiloda Crossroads → Karai Crossroads → Apollo Circle.

Indira Bridge to Dafnala: Divert via Nobel Nagar T-junction → Naroda Patiya → FSL Crossroads.

Apollo Circle to Shahibaug: Take Tapovan Circle → Prabodhraval Circle → Subhash Bridge Circle.

Dafnala to Gandhinagar: Choose Subhash Bridge Circle → Chimanbhai Patel Bridge → Tapovan Circle, or Ghevar Circle → FSL Crossroads → Rameshwar → Naroda Patiya → Nana Chiloda.
Airport Advisory:
Passengers with flights between 6 pm and 9 pm are advised to leave at least two hours earlier and keep their tickets handy for police checks at barricades. Only vehicles with valid flight tickets or those involved in the roadshow will be permitted on restricted routes.
No Parking Zones:
All restricted roads and service lanes are declared no-parking zones from 1 pm until the end of the roadshow.
Appeal to Residents:
Residents of Hansol, Kotarpur, Nobel Nagar, Meghaninagar, and Sardarnagar are requested to avoid non-essential travel and use alternate routes.
