Mukka Proteins Limited has secured a major municipal environment contract from Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Ltd (BSWML) for treatment and disposal of legacy leachate accumulated at Mittaganahalli and Kannur landfill sites. The domestic order, worth about ₹474.9 crore, will run for up to four years or until complete leachate clearance.
Large-Scale Wastewater Opportunity
Mukka Proteins, traditionally known for steam-dried fish meal and allied products, has informed exchanges that BSWML has awarded it a significant contract for the “treatment and disposal of legacy leachate” stored at two key Bengaluru landfill locations—Mittaganahalli and Kannur. The work involves handling years of accumulated toxic runoff from solid waste dumps, positioning the company as a serious player in environmental and waste-treatment solutions.
The broad consideration for the contract is pegged at ₹474,89,14,500 (₹474.89 crore). The duration is four years or until all legacy leachate at the designated landfill sites is fully treated and disposed of, whichever is earlier, giving Mukka multi-year revenue visibility from a single domestic order.
