In a historic tie-up, SpaceX's Starlink has tied up with leading telecom players to take its satellite-based internet services to new geographies. India's leading telecom players Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel on Tuesday announced agreements to bring Starlink's high-speed internet to the subcontinent. The tie-ups, subject to regulatory approvals, will make access to Starlink one of the world's largest internet markets. The agreements are to complement current broadband networks and reach remote areas. The strategic tie-up comes after successful collaborations in the U.S., New Zealand, and Australia, where Starlink has already tied up with local networks to offer satellite-to-mobile services. The tie-up is a huge milestone in Starlink's global expansion plans.
