The event, held on February 15, 2025, focused on transforming cancer care in India. Nadda stressed that providing top medical facilities to every Indian is the government's priority. The National Cancer Institute, India's largest cancer hospital with 710 beds, aims to bridge the gap in cancer healthcare and spearhead research on India-specific cancers. The institute operates under AIIMS Delhi and was built at a cost of Rs 2,035 crore. It will serve as a nodal center for indigenous research and curative aspects of care.
