Natural diamonds are experiencing more demand from buyers as their price dropped by about 30% since 2022. This is due to the rising trend of lab-created diamonds, now 80% cheaper than natural diamonds. Natural diamonds also witnessed their demand being reduced by low purchases in China, which is a big market.
On the other hand, valuable metals like gold and silver have documented high price rises, with gold rising over 60% within the same period. With stabilization in the market, specialists are expecting natural and cultured diamonds to coexist as they cater to different consumer preferences while maintaining the allure of shortage inherent in nature stones.
