Niraj Cement pockets ₹130 crore PWD highway makeover job

In a fresh boost to its infrastructure portfolio, Niraj Cement Structurals Limited has disclosed the award of a substantial highway contract from the Public Works Department. The project involves improvement, upgradation and five‑year performance‑based maintenance of Road A21, specifically from Harnem Tumpreg Hojai Nibaghan to Howraghat Karkoi, spanning 26.803 km.​

The work, categorised as a domestic order, carries a contract value of approximately ₹130.83 crore and is to be executed over 36 months. The performance‑based component means Niraj Cement will remain responsible for the road’s service quality for an extended period, aligning revenues to long‑term asset upkeep rather than just construction. The company has clarified that the order does not qualify as a related‑party transaction and no promoter or group entity holds any interest in the awarding authority.​
