Hindustan National Glass and Industries Ltd (HNGIL) has declared a short-term closure of Furnace No. 8 at its plant in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The firm made it clear that the move is specifically restricted to one furnace and will not affect other processes at the facility, thus enabling uninterrupted production and supply to customers.

The shut down of Furnace No. 8 is temporary and part of normal operating procedure, with the balance of the plant's production lines and support functions being fully operational.
