Amidst a moving moment during her All Hearts Tour in Mumbai, popular singer Shreya Ghoshal honored the Indian Armed Forces, and the audience could not hold back their tears while she performed the classic patriotic song "Maa Tujhe Salaam," as she stopped the song halfway to address the filled auditorium and express the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers of India.
“Every second that we are standing here, we are not even having a single worry in our mind because there is somebody protecting us at the border,” Ghoshal said with a tone full of gratitude. She also told the audience, “Any place you ever see an army man, navy or air force officer, we should touch their feet. This song is my way of touching their feet — a Charan Sparsh, which is in our culture.”
This tribute followed recent acts of valor coming from the Indian Armed Forces, including the heroic Operation Sindoor and a swift response to a recent attempted attack from Pakistan. Ghoshal thanked the Indian Armed Forces for their courage and for keeping us and every citizen safe.
In her call for togetherness through music, she also said, “I would like that all our bands are also united in this. If everybody sings it together, then I think it will be a very beautiful feeling; I feel this is how we should remember this moment.”
When Ghoshal led the audience in singing "Maa Tujhe Salaam," the concert became a rally of patriotic pride, where thousands stood together as they honored the real heroes of India. It was not merely a concert; it was a strong salute to the nation as it was a reminder of the contribution of the soldiers and the spirit of togetherness.
