Meta has expanded its AI-powered dubbing tool on Instagram and Facebook, enabling creators to seamlessly translate and lip-sync their Reels into Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, and English. By mimicking the creator’s voice and tone in new languages, this tool is set to revolutionize content reach for diverse, global audiences.
Key Highlights of Instagram’s Multilingual AI Dubbing Tool
Instagram’s AI dubbing tool, now live as of October 2025, supports Hindi, Portuguese, Spanish, and English—opening up massive new markets across India, Latin America, and beyond.
The tool is accessible to all public Instagram accounts in supported regions and Facebook creators with at least 1,000 followers. During Reel upload, creators can select “Translate your voice with Meta AI,” preview their dubbed reel in multiple languages, and publish it for a broad audience.
Meta AI not only translates but also mimics each creator’s unique voice, tone, and emotion, producing dubbed audio that feels life-like rather than robotic. An optional lip-sync feature adjusts the dubbed audio to the creator’s facial movements for added realism and viewer engagement.
Every dubbed Reel is labelled “Translated with Meta AI” to ensure transparency, and viewers can switch between the original and translated versions with simple settings adjustments.
Mark Zuckerberg and Adam Mosseri have showcased the tool, dubbing content into Hindi and Spanish to highlight its fluency and international reach. Feedback from creators was central to the tool’s development, addressing growing demand for cross-cultural and multilingual content sharing.
Meta has announced that more languages are on the way, with plans to expand translation capabilities further in response to user and creator needs worldwide.
