The Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), in collaboration with MyGov, has launched the “One Innovation – Towards A Self-Reliant India” initiative under the India International Science Festival (IISF) 2025. This campaign invites citizens, students, innovators, and startups to showcase innovative ideas contributing to India’s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat with scalable, impactful solutions.
The “One Innovation” initiative aims to capture the spirit of India’s self-reliance by spotlighting technology and social innovations that improve lives on a large scale. Participants across the country are encouraged to submit innovations that align with national priorities such as sustainability, technological autonomy, and economic empowerment.
This initiative emphasizes four pillars: strengthening India’s technological and social self-reliance, scaling solutions for real-world impact, fostering citizen-driven ideas supporting a developed (“Viksit”) Bharat, and highlighting India’s leadership in innovation and sustainability.
The competition seeks innovations that can impact at least 1,000 people, thereby ensuring tangible outcomes in sectors ranging from healthcare, agriculture, education, to infrastructure and environment. It promotes collaboration between government, startups, educational institutions, and research communities.
By integrating the global science festival platform with grassroots innovation, this initiative envisions accelerating India’s transformation into a global innovation and technology leader under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat mission.
