The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is to resume as early as May 15 or 16 after the India-Pakistan ceasefire agreement put an end to a week-long suspension triggered by the escalating border tensions. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also assured that a top-level meeting will be held to determine the new venues and schedule, and all possibilities are on the table-including returning to original host cities now that security throughout the country has been beefed up.
BCCI officials are coordinating with franchises, broadcasters, and government officials to ensure a smooth and safe resumption, apart from attempting to bring back the foreign players who had returned during the uncertainty. With just 17 matches remaining in the tournament, the resumption of the league will be a big relief for the fans and the stakeholders after days of disruption.
