Kuwait has opened a historic exhibition, "Rihla-e-Dosti: 250 Years of India-Kuwait Friendship," at the National Library, marking a quarter-millennium of unbreakable relationships between the two nations. The five-day exhibition, which was opened by Indian Ambassador Dr. Adarsh Swaika and Kuwait's National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters head Dr. Mohammad Al-Jassar, has over 150 rare items of artefacts, manuscripts, trade documents, old coins, and Indian currency once used as legal tender in Kuwait until 1961.

The exhibition traces its roots back to the late 18th century when Kuwaiti merchants sailed to Indian ports in sailing vessels loaded with dates, pearls, and horses and returning with rice, spices, and cloth. It also has historic photographs, personal letters, and cultural performances, along with focusing on trade, also bringing out deep-rooted cultural and humanitarian links.

Organizers are looking forward to having thousands of students and tourists visit the event, with the hope of educating new generations about this unique heritage. The event emphasizes how common respect and shared heritage continue to be India-Kuwait drivers in the future.
