Sunil Joshi Applauds Harpreet Brar’s Game-Changing Spell in Punjab Kings’ Crucial IPL Win

Punjab Kings spin coach Sunil Joshi hailed Harpreet Brar’s match-winning performance against Rajasthan Royals, calling it a “big difference” in their 10-run victory in Jaipur. Brar’s disciplined left-arm spin returned figures of 3/22, triggering a middle-order collapse just as Rajasthan seemed set in their chase of 220. Joshi praised Brar’s consistency and readiness, noting, “Whenever he has received the opportunity, he has performed. And today as well, he delivered exactly when we needed him”.

 

Brar was named Player of the Match and dedicated the award to his wife, highlighting the personal milestone. He credited his preparation with Joshi and head coach Ricky Ponting, sharing, “Ponting Sir told me that a leftie can get a leftie out. I knew they would come after me, but I stuck to my strengths and focused on not giving away easy balls”.
