In a significant move towards women empowerment and urban mobility, Delhi is set to witness the launch of the Pink Mobility Card. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who termed it a “major gift for the women of Delhi.” The scheme will be formally inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium during the grand event titled ‘Sashakt Nari, Samriddh Delhi.’
The Pink Mobility Card is modeled on the National Common Mobility Card framework, designed to unify access across multiple transport systems. It is expected to ease daily commutes for women, enhance safety, and promote inclusivity in public transport.
