Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to lead India’s digital engagement landscape, with X’s newly introduced country-specific rankings revealing his overwhelming dominance. According to the platform’s data, 8 of the 10 most-liked tweets in India over the past month originated from Modi’s account, reflecting his ability to connect with millions online.  

Key highlights from the announcement include  

• PM Modi’s post presenting a Russian translation of the Bhagavad Gita to President Vladimir Putin garnered over 2.3 million likes, making it the most popular tweet in India during the period.  
• Another widely engaged post was his welcome message to President Putin in Delhi, which reached 10.6 million users and earned more than 214,000 likes.  
• No other political leader featured in the top 10 most-liked tweets, underscoring Modi’s unique digital reach.  
• The remaining two spots in the top 10 were occupied by non-political accounts, highlighting the Prime Minister’s dominance in the political space.  
• X’s new feature offers monthly snapshots of the most-liked tweets by country, providing insights into engagement trends.  

The data highlights Modi’s continued ability to leverage social media as a powerful communication tool, reinforcing his influence both domestically and internationally.
