Porsche has officially launched the highly anticipated Cayenne Black Edition and Cayenne Coupe Black Edition in India, injecting a dose of bespoke style and exclusivity into the luxury SUV segment. With prices starting at ₹1.8 crore for the standard Cayenne and ₹1.87 crore for the Cayenne Coupe (ex-showroom), these limited editions set themselves apart from their regular counterparts with distinctive design updates and enhanced features.
Design and Style: More Than Just Black
Both Black Editions feature a striking all-black aesthetic, including blacked-out badges, darkened headlamps, black ORVMs, window trims, and tailpipes with a dark bronze finish. This visually enhances the SUVs’ aggressive, premium stance.
The cars ride on 21-inch RS Spyder alloy wheels, and come with standard LED puddle lamps bearing Porsche lettering for an illuminated welcome.
While Chromite Black Metallic is the star colour, buyers can also choose from White, Carrara White Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, Quartzite Grey Metallic, Carmine Red, and Cashmere Beige Metallic at no extra cost, with optional exclusive colours starting from ₹7.3 lakh and custom Manufaktur paints upwards of ₹20.13 lakh.
Interior and Comfort
The cabin receives an all-black treatment with plush black leather upholstery, brushed aluminium accents, illuminated door sills, 14-way power-adjustable front seats, panoramic sunroof, multifunction steering wheel, and a 14-speaker Bose audio system, making comfort and luxury central to the experience.
Performance: Unchanged Power, Signature Thrill
Both models retain the 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine producing 348–353 bhp and 500 Nm torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The mechanicals and underpinnings remain identical to the standard versions, ensuring Porsche’s signature sporty performance continues.
Market Impact and Availability
Compared to the standard Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe, these editions demand a premium of ₹31–38 lakh, driven purely by their build, interior upgrades, and exclusivity.
Orders are open at Porsche dealerships across India, with deliveries set for later in 2025.
With the Cayenne Black Edition, Porsche is targeting buyers seeking a distinct combination of performance and individual style, underlining its commitment to the premium Indian SUV market.
