A spiritual visit steeped in reverence
Arriving in Tirumala as part of her two-day pilgrimage, President Murmu was received warmly by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials, priests, and dignitaries. She first visited the Sri Varaha Swamy temple before proceeding to the Maha Dwaram of the Tirumala shrine. Inside the sanctum sanctorum, she offered prayers at the Dhwajasthambham and was honoured with Sesha Vastram (sacred cloth), Tirtha Prasadam, and Veda Ashirvachanam (vedic blessings). The President was also presented with portraits of the deity, symbolising respect and reverence.
