Pune Metro Launches 'Matrushakti Nursing Pods' for Traveling Mothers

Pune Metro has unveiled innovative 'Matrushakti Nursing Pods' at its stations, aimed at providing comfort and privacy for mothers traveling with infants. Inaugurated by Minister Meghana Bordikar, these fully air-conditioned pods feature diaper-changing stations, disposal bins, and charging points, accommodating two mothers at a time. This initiative addresses the challenges of breastfeeding in public, ensuring a safe space for mothers and enhancing their travel experience. The project reflects Pune Metro's commitment to improving amenities for its significant female ridership of 160,000 daily.
