Singer Rahul Vaidya and his parents have sold two apartments in Mumbai’s Oshiwara area for a combined ₹5 crore, stunning many with the properties’ original purchase prices. Both flats, located in the Samartha Aangan complex, were bought in May 2008-the larger 1,102 sq ft apartment for ₹1.01 crore and the smaller 743 sq ft unit for just ₹68.3 lakh. The recent sales fetched ₹3 crore and ₹2 crore respectively, reflecting a sharp appreciation over 17 years.
The deals, registered in April 2025, highlight the robust growth of Mumbai’s real estate market. Oshiwara remains a celebrity hotspot, home to stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn. Vaidya, who rose to fame on Indian Idol, recently upgraded to a premium ₹9 crore home in the city.
