Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder for a ₹137.17 crore project from Central Railway. The contract involves designing, supplying, erecting, testing, and commissioning a 132/55 KV traction substation and related infrastructure in the Bhusaval-Khandwa section. This EPC project aims to upgrade the existing 2x25 KV traction system using Scott-connected transformers to meet a 3,000 MT loading target. The project is set to be completed within two years. RVNL's success in securing this contract follows its recent win of an ₹837.67 crore Eastern Railway project, further strengthening its position in India's railway infrastructure sector.
