The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has initiated the November 2025 round of its Rural Consumer Confidence Survey (RCCS). The survey aims to capture rural households’ perceptions and expectations on economic conditions, employment, income, prices, and spending—key inputs for shaping future monetary policy decisions.

On October 31, 2025, the Reserve Bank of India officially launched the latest round of its Rural Consumer Confidence Survey (RCCS). Conducted quarterly, the RCCS gathers qualitative insights from households in rural and semi-urban areas across 31 states and union territories. The survey assesses both current sentiment and one-year-ahead expectations regarding the general economic situation, employment prospects, price levels, household income, and spending behavior.

The RCCS, along with the Urban Consumer Confidence Survey (UCCS) and the Inflation Expectations Survey of Households (IESH), forms a critical trio of tools used by the RBI to inform its monetary policy stance. These surveys help the central bank gauge consumer sentiment and inflationary trends at the grassroots level.
