Realme has officially announced that its new GT 7 smartphone will be driven by MediaTek's newest Dimensity 9400e chip, putting the device in the league of top performers in the flagships segment before its May 27 global launch. The announcement paves the way for an eagerly awaited launch in primary markets such as India, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
Dynamically New Processor:
The Realme GT 7 will be the first smartphone in many markets to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e. This latest-generation chipset, based on TSMC's 4nm process, has four Cortex-X4 cores (one at 3.4GHz, three at 2.85GHz), four Cortex-A720 cores (2.0GHz), and an Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU. Realme boasts an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 2.45 million, placing the device in the top three Android smartphones in the world for performance.
GT Boost Technology:
The phone brings "GT Boost," a frame-by-frame workload prediction engine that allocates dynamic performance resources. This allows for stable 120 FPS gaming on more than 20 mainstream games, including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Honor of Kings, with lower power consumption and enhanced thermal efficiency.
Massive Battery and Fast Charging
The GT 7 comes with a 7,000mAh battery and has 120W wired charging, which guarantees a full charge in 40 minutes. The device also features 7.5W reverse charging.
Advanced Display and Cooling:
A 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen is expected by users with peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits, providing vivid images even under sunlight. The "IceSense Graphene" tech and fiberglass-reinforced back panel provide improved thermal conductivity and effective 360-degree heat dissipation.
Camera and Durability:
The GT 7 is expected to have a dual rear camera configuration (50MP primary sensor with OIS and 8MP ultra-wide) and a 16MP selfie camera. It is also expected to have IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, making it capable of handling diverse environments.
Color Variants and Availability:
The device will come in IceSense Blue and IceSense Black. It will roll out worldwide during an event in Paris and go on sale in India via Realme's website, Amazon, and a few select retail stores from May 27.
Industry Impact
Realme's GT 7 will try to redefine the "flagship killer" segment with the best performance, high-end gaming capabilities, and long battery life at a reasonable price. With the latest Dimensity 9400e, Realme will try to compete with established high-end phones from competitors in 2025.
