The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) officially launched the third edition of its National Circular Economy Framework (NCEF 3) on November 7, 2025, at the 10th International Conference on Waste to Worth Technologies, held in New Delhi. Participants included industry leaders, policymakers, academic experts, and innovators focused on advancing India’s circular economy.

Expanded Scope and Delivery Focus: NCEF 3 builds on previous editions by extending material coverage to twenty priority resources, incorporating detailed baselines, challenges, and actionable pathways designed to drive measurable circularity progress by 2030 and beyond.
Alignment with National Missions: The framework supports governmental initiatives like Lifestyle for Environment (LIFE) and Atmanirbhar Bharat, reinforcing circularity’s role in strengthening domestic value chains and reducing resource dependency.
Collaborative Approach: NCEF 3 is developed for joint implementation by industries, policymakers, financial institutions, and urban local bodies, promoting shared responsibility for transitioning from linear to circular economic models.
Conference Highlights: The event emphasized global partnerships and showcased innovations in waste management, with nearly 50 organizations recognized for excellence in Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Repair (4R) practices.
