Safe Online: Maharashtra Launches Powerful Helpline Against Cyberbullying

Maharashtra has also initiated a specialized helpline (022-6536 6666) with Brush of Hope to assist the victims of cyberbullying and sextortion. The service includes psychological counselling, legal guidance, and emergency action plans. The initiative was launched by Farhan Akhtar with an emphasis on staying alert to cyber crimes. This helpline supplements other efforts such as the Cyber Crime Helpline (1930) and the What Now campaign, which are also concentrating on cybersecurity awareness among young people. These programs are designed to make the digital space safer in Maharashtra.
