Saif Ali Khan Says Epic Tales and Cultural Sagas Are His Go-To Movie Picks

Saif Ali Khan spoke about his filmic choices at the WAVES 2025 Summit, sharing a deep fondness for historical films and stories rooted in culture. "I like historical films. Perhaps films on other cultures, perhaps Japanese," Saif disclosed in an open session, highlighting his penchant for stories that explore tradition and heritage. He described the Mahabharata as "the greatest story ever told" and was keen to see great historic epics fulfilled on screen through big war action and compelling narratives.

 

Saif also praised the arrival of streaming platforms, stating that long formats are best suited for such expansive storytelling and leave space to explore characters and cultures. To him, the most rewarding projects are those that appeal to Indian heritage and take these tales to the world.
