Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd. (SMIL) has announced the formation of two joint ventures (JVs) with Japan’s Sanko Gosei Ltd., strengthening its global footprint in automotive solutions.
In India, JV-A will be incorporated with SMIL’s subsidiary SMGCL holding a 51% stake, while Sanko will own 49%. This collaboration is set to enhance localized production capabilities, catering to India's growing automotive industry.
Meanwhile, in Europe, JV-B will be established in Hungary, with SAHN BV (a Motherson subsidiary) holding a 51% share, and Sanko owning the remaining 49%. This JV will bolster Motherson’s presence in the European market, ensuring cutting-edge automotive component manufacturing and supply chain efficiencies.
The partnerships reflect Motherson's continued focus on expanding its global network and technological expertise while leveraging Sanko’s strong market position. These JVs will support OEMs with advanced solutions and drive innovation in the automotive sector.
