Shree Cement Limited recently announced a major expansion of its clinker production capacity at the Nawalgarh plant, increasing it to 4.50 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). This enhancement in capacity was made possible through strategic investment in mining assets and equipment, showcasing the firm's determination to increase its production capacity.
Shree Cement's bigger expansion plan includes the Nawalgarh plant in Rajasthan. The expansion fits the company's ambitious plan to raise its overall cement capacity over 80 million tonnes in the next few years. The Nawalgarh expansion is a part of Shree Cement's overall strategy to spend ₹7,000 crore in creating 12 million tonnes of production capacity in India by March 2025.
This comes after Shree Cement recently commissioned an integrated cement plant worth ₹2,500 crore in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, further establishing its position among India's top cement producers.
