Signpost India Ltd has received judicial clearance to restart its advertising operations in Bengaluru, following a favorable resolution of its long-standing dispute with the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). The Karnataka High Court acknowledged a joint memorandum of settlement between the two parties, effectively closing the legal standoff that had halted Signpost’s LED display activities across the city.

The dispute stemmed from BBMP’s removal notice for over 1,500 unipole LED boards installed by Signpost on footpaths and medians, citing lack of prior approval. The company had earlier approached the court seeking relief, and after months of negotiation, both sides agreed to a compromise that allows Signpost to relocate and resume operations in designated zones.

This development marks a major win for Signpost, which had built over 400 police kiosks under a PPP model and now regains access to a key urban market. The company is expected to relaunch its digital OOH (out-of-home) campaigns in high-traffic areas like Indiranagar and Hudson Circle.

Key Highlights:
  • Court-approved settlement ends BBMP dispute
  • Ad operations to resume in permitted Bengaluru zones
  • 1,500+ LED boards previously removed
  • 400 police kiosks built under PPP model
  • Strategic comeback in digital OOH advertising
