SKF India Ltd has announced the appointment of Shailesh Kumar Sharma as the Managing Director of the company, effective from October 1, 2025. Shailesh Kumar Sharma was earlier appointed as Whole-Time Director of SKF India from February 13, 2025.
His term as Managing Director is set for five consecutive years, subject to shareholder approval.
Mr. Sharma succeeds Mukund Vasudevan, who resigned from the MD position as part of the management restructuring following the company’s demerger.
Despite stepping down as MD, Mukund Vasudevan will continue as a Non-Executive Director of SKF India.

Mr. Sharma holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Government Engineering College, Jabalpur, and an MBA from Symbiosis International University, Pune.
He brings over 32 years of experience in precision engineering industries, with expertise in manufacturing, engineering, product development, project management, and operations.
Prior to his current role, he managed SKF’s Bengaluru and Pune factories, overseeing plant operations and driving performance improvements.
He is not related to any directors, key managerial personnel, or promoters of SKF India.
