SBEC Systems (India) Ltd has successfully commissioned a 500 kilowatt-peak (KWp) solar power project, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable energy and operational efficiency. The project, located in Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh, is part of the company’s broader push to integrate renewable energy into its industrial and institutional operations.
Key Highlights From the Commissioning
- The 500 KWp capacity is distributed across two installations:
- 270 KWp at Dayawati Modi Public School, Hapur Road
- 10 KWp at Modi Hospital, Railway Road
- Both institutions are units of OCT (Om Charitable Trust), reflecting SBEC’s alignment with community-focused infrastructure
- The solar systems became operational on October 1, 2024, and are expected to significantly reduce grid dependency
- The installations are designed to support educational and healthcare services with uninterrupted, clean power
Strategic Context and Sustainability Goals
- The project is part of SBEC’s long-term strategy to reduce carbon footprint and energy costs across its ecosystem
- It follows earlier solar deployments, including a 675 KWp plant at Modi Arc Electrode Company and a 100 KWp unit at M.M. Printers
- The company continues to diversify its energy portfolio while supporting the government’s renewable energy targets
Outlook
With this latest commissioning, SBEC Systems strengthens its position as a forward-looking engineering firm integrating green energy into core operations. The move is expected to yield both environmental and economic dividends in the years ahead.
