Som Distilleries Expands Footprint with Woodpecker GreenAgri Equity Transfer

Som Distilleries secures full ownership of Woodpecker GreenAgri  
In a significant development, Som Distilleries and Breweries Ltd (SDBL) has completed the acquisition of Woodpecker GreenAgri Nutrients Pvt Ltd (WGNPL), following board approval on November 13, 2025. With this transfer of equity, WGNPL officially becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of SDBL. The acquisition is part of Som’s broader strategy to diversify operations and reinforce its presence in allied industries.  

The company highlighted that the move will enhance synergies across its existing businesses and open new avenues for growth. An Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) has also been scheduled for December 12, 2025, to seek shareholder approval for related transactions. This acquisition comes at a time when Som Distilleries is reporting strong growth in its IMFL segment, despite mixed quarterly results in beer volumes.
