Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara SUV has achieved a major milestone, surpassing 3 lakh unit sales in India within just 32 months of its launch in September 2022. This makes it the fastest-selling mid-size SUV in the country, averaging over 300 units sold per day.

1. Grand Vitara’s Market Success

The SUV has emerged as a strong competitor in the mid-size segment, challenging models like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
Maruti Suzuki attributes this success to customer trust, strong hybrid technology, and advanced features.
The Strong Hybrid variant has seen a 43% year-on-year growth in FY24-25, reinforcing its popularity.

2. New Features & 2025 Updates

The 2025 Grand Vitara now includes a panoramic sunroof, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system.
Other premium features include ventilated seats, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, and a Clarion sound system.
Safety remains a priority, with six airbags, ESP with Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

3. Maruti Suzuki’s Future Plans

The company is preparing to launch its first electric SUV, the e-Vitara, as part of its long-term EV strategy.
