On the 40th day of Maha Kumbh 2025, Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj experienced yet another massive congregation of devotees. By 10 AM, over 51 lakh pilgrims had dipped in the holy waters, and the numbers were still expected to swell throughout the day. This follows Wednesday's record attendance of 1.19 crore. As the event moves towards its closing on February 26, the authorities have put in place revised crowd-control measures to deal with the swelling numbers. The Maha Kumbh has, at latest count, drawn in excess of 56 crore devotees as the world's largest congregation of religious beings. This event, despite the challenges, gloriously showcases India's rich culture and spiritual traditions.
