Bhubaneswar’s popular Patha Utsav will resume from late December 2025 with weekly Sunday morning events across three city zones. Organised by BMC, the festival will feature diverse cultural and recreational activities to invigorate the city’s winter mornings and foster community participation, with a focus on urban cleanliness and heritage celebration.
Patha Utsav is set to return to Bhubaneswar starting the last week of December 2025, with the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) organising zone-wise events every Sunday morning. This popular open-street cultural festival will run from late December through mid-January, offering residents and visitors a range of recreational activities across three designated city zones.
The event is scheduled to take place every Sunday from 7 am to 10 am, with BMC Commissioner Chanchal Rana confirming the plan to institutionalise Patha Utsav as a winter tradition. The activities will include dance, music, painting, skating, and other cultural programs aimed at engaging the community and promoting an active, outdoor lifestyle during the winter mornings in Bhubaneswar.
This year, the Patha Utsav will be organised uniquely across the three city zones separately, creating vibrant and lively weekend experiences for different neighborhoods. Preparations are already underway for the launch, and the event will also incorporate thematic elements and outreach efforts such as Swachh Bharat Mission communications to foster cleanliness and civic participation.
The Patha Utsav revival marks a significant cultural and recreational initiative by BMC, enhancing Bhubaneswar’s urban life and celebrating its artistic heritage.
