The State Museum in Bhopal has taken a bold leap into the digital age with the launch of a Virtual Reality Experience Centre, transforming how visitors engage with Madhya Pradesh's rich heritage.

On International Museum Day, the museum unveiled Aankhon Dekha, a VR storytelling hub developed by Pune-based startup TellMe DigiInfotech. This immersive space offers drone-powered aerial panoramas, ultraviolet heritage imaging, and interactive 3D illusion art, bringing history to life in ways never seen before.

The initiative, backed by the Directorate of Archaeology, Archives, and Museums, aims to blend cultural depth with cutting-edge technology. Visitors can now explore ancient artifacts, restored monuments, and even multi-sensory sand-based art activities—all without leaving the museum floor.

With a team of artists, engineers, and storytellers working behind the scenes, the project was completed in record time, guided by an Italian mentor specializing in immersive media. The Madhya Pradesh government’s progressive approach has been instrumental in making this vision a reality.
