Sterling Holiday Resorts, a subsidiary of Thomas Cook (India), has launched its newest premium retreat—Sterling Vanvasa, nestled near Lansdowne, Uttarakhand. Spread across 30 acres of pine and sal forest, this offbeat hill getaway is designed for travelers seeking tranquility, nature, and slow living. Located beyond Juee village at over 3,200 feet above sea level, the resort offers panoramic views of the Garhwal Himalayas and the Ramganga river.
The property features 33 colonial-style cottages and family suites, each with private sit-outs and no televisions—encouraging guests to disconnect and immerse in nature. Amenities include a hill-facing pool, meditation zones, and Aranya, a multicuisine restaurant serving Garhwali delicacies made from the resort’s own garden produce.
This marks Sterling’s eighth resort in Uttarakhand, reinforcing its strategy of curating offbeat, immersive experiences across India’s lesser-known gems.
