India: Supreme Power Equipment Ltd (SPEL), a leading power and distribution transformer manufacturer in India, has secured a big order worth ₹88 million. The order from a government-backed entity underlines SPEL's strengthening foothold in India's power infrastructure industry.
This new order adds to the company's robust pipeline, which had previously consisted of a ₹61 crore transformer supply contract to Navratna PSU NLC India under the Ministry of Coal. The order worth ₹88 million will be executed in the next six months and will entail supply of inverter-duty transformers for renewable and thermal power applications.
Vee Rajmohan, SPEL CMD, stated, "This order reaffirms our engineering prowess and our focus on facilitating India's energy transition. We see this as a move towards greater cooperation with public sector partners."
With this deal, SPEL's aggregate order book continues to expand, making the company a serious contender in the evolving situation of sustainable energy and grid modernization.
