Tata Motors and HPCL Unite: 'Fueling' Cleaner Skies with Co-Branded Diesel Exhaust Fluid

Tata Motors and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) recently announced a strategic tie-up for the launch of a co-branded genuine Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). With this tie-up, Tata Motors and HPCL seek to introduce high-quality DEF for contemporary diesel engines that incorporate Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. The new product will help achieve better NOx reduction, SCR catalyst preservation, and clean emissions. It will be produced according to ISO 22241 and IS 17042 (Part 1) standards, having a shelf life of 12 months if stored properly. This alliance takes advantage of HPCL's wide network of more than 21,000 fuel stations and Tata Motors' experience in the automotive industry to increase the availability and quality of DEF throughout India.
