Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd has received a significant order valued at $62.24 million (approximately ₹140.55 crore) from the Ministry of Railways, adding to its growing order book and reinforcing its leadership in the rail infrastructure sector.
Key Highlights:
The new contract is for the manufacture and supply of eight rakes of Flat Multi-Purpose Wagons, essential for transporting a variety of goods including containers, steel coils, and military vehicles.
The order was officially awarded through a Letter of Acceptance from the Railway Board and must be executed within six months, reflecting the Ministry’s push for rapid capacity expansion in India’s freight corridors.
This latest win highlights Texmaco’s ongoing partnership with Indian Railways and its role in supporting national logistics modernization.
The company’s total order book has now reached ₹7,115 crore, with recent wins including additional contracts for traction transformers and sustainable freight wagon technology.
Texmaco’s focus on advanced, eco-friendly wagon designs aligns with India’s infrastructure and sustainability goals, positioning the company for further opportunities in both domestic and global markets.
Despite a recent dip in quarterly profits, Texmaco continues to invest in innovation and strategic partnerships, including a recent MoU with Polish firm Nevomo for next-generation Magrail technology.
This order provides strong revenue visibility for the coming year and strengthens Texmaco Rail’s position as a key player in India’s rail sector.
