Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has launched a scathing attack on the Maharashtra government's handling of the Dharavi Redevelopment Project, claiming Mumbaikars are bearing the cost of a massive land transfer to Adani Group. The project involves 1,080 acres of prime Mumbai land, with 540 acres outside Dharavi. Thackeray alleges the deal could generate ₹1 lakh crore for Adani Group while the BMC stands to lose ₹5,000 crore in premium revenue. He further claims 1.5 lakh Dharavi families face relocation to distant suburbs like Mulund and Kanjurmarg.
