JSW Energy’s subsidiary, JSW Thermal Energy Ltd, has signed a contract with its associate firm, Toshiba JSW Power Systems Pvt Ltd, to procure two 800 MW steam turbine generators for its upcoming Salboni Thermal Project in West Bengal. The move strengthens execution certainty, supply-chain reliability, and project timelines.
JSW Thermal Energy Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Ltd, has finalized a supply contract with Toshiba JSW Power Systems Private Limited for two high-capacity steam turbine generators (800 MW each) dedicated to its Salboni Thermal Project in West Bengal. The agreement supports the company’s goal of meeting India’s growing power demand through a balanced generation portfolio.
The equipment will be manufactured and delivered as per the project’s construction schedule, ensuring timely plant completion and commissioning. The company expects the deal to minimize supply risks amid tight equipment availability while leveraging Toshiba’s strong engineering capabilities through their long-standing association.
